Candidates for Firefighter/EMT:

  • A firefighter or EMT should be 18 years of age as of the date of administration of the written test. No person can be appointed after the age of 37 years.
  • As of the date of administration of the written test, a firefighter/EMT must have a high school diploma or a General Equivalent Diploma (GED).
  • A candidate must have obtained proof of passing the Physical Ability Test (CPAT) within the last 12 months.
