Here’s a list of what museums across Chicago are offering free admission to as the summer continues.

Art institute – Free daily admission for Chicago residents under the age of 18.

Adler Planetarium – Every Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m., Illinois residents can visit the planetarium for free. Tickets must be purchased in advance and online. Proof of residence is required.

Single Family housing guaranteed loan program application

Chicago Botanic Garden – Free admission for Illinois residents on July 12, 14 and August 9,11. Proof of residence is required. Pre-registration is required for non-members. Parking fee applicable.

Chicago History Museum – Free admission for Illinois residents on June 23 and 30, July 4, August 23-26 and 30-31. Tickets can be reserved here.

The DuSable Museum of African American Art – Free every Wednesday for Illinois residents.

Lincoln Park Zoo – No, it’s not a museum — but daily admission to the zoo is free.

Museum of Contemporary Art – Free every Tuesday for Illinois residents.

Museum of Contemporary Photography – Free every day. Tickets must be booked in advance.

National Museum of Mexican Art – Free every day.

Smart Museum of Art – Free every day.

Shed Aquarium – June 27-28 Free admission for residents of Illinois. Tickets must be booked online.
